Event Overview

When and where is the WNC Build & Remodel Expo?

The Expo takes place Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the
WNC Agricultural Center – Davis Event Center in Fletcher, North Carolina.

What are the Expo hours for exhibitors?

The Expo is open to the public:

  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sunday: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Exhibitors may access the building 90 minutes prior to show opening each day.

Who attends the Expo?

Attendance is primarily made up of local and regional homeowners who are actively planning build or remodel projects.

Key attendee characteristics:

  • Many are in the early research phase
  • Typical planning window of 6–18 months
  • Come prepared with informed, project-specific questions
  • Strong local concentration in Buncombe and surrounding counties, based on post-event consumer surveys

Booth & Registration

What booth sizes and types are available?

Booth options include Standard, Premium, Feature, and Island booths, as well as Outdoor Living Section spaces.
Indoor booth sizes range from 10′×10′ to 20′×20′, with custom outdoor living feature spaces available upon request.

What is included with my booth?

How do I reserve a booth?

Exhibitors must register online. Once registration is completed, Expo Management will confirm booth placement within 48 business hours.

How are booth locations assigned?

Booth locations are assigned at the discretion of Expo Management, with consideration given to exhibitor preferences, product categories, and overall show flow. Specific booth locations cannot be guaranteed.

How many exhibitor badges are included with my booth?

Badge quantities vary by booth type and range from four (4) to eight (8) badges. Additional badges may be purchased if needed.

Can I share my booth with another company?

Subletting or sharing booth space is not permitted without prior written approval from Expo Management.

Pricing & Cancellations

Are discounts available?

  • BABRM members receive $200 off per booth
  • NAHB members receive $100 off per booth
  • Exhibitors purchasing two or more booths receive a 5% multi-booth discount

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations submitted in writing before February 6, 2026, are eligible for a refund.
Cancellations on or after that date are non-refundable.

Setup & Logistics

When can I move in and set up my booth?

Move-in begins Thursday, March 19, and continues Friday, March 20.

  • Thursday: Limited drive-in access with prior approval
  • Friday: Carry-in only

When does breakdown begin on Sunday?

Breakdown may begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday. Early teardown is not permitted. Exhibitors who tear down early will be assessed a $500 fine.

Is storage or freight shipping available?

The WNC Agricultural Center will accept shipments beginning Wednesday, March 18. Exhibitors are responsible for proper labeling, unloading, and any applicable forklift or handling fees.

Policies & Requirements

Are there restrictions on booth displays or structures?

Roofs, tents, canopies, and overhead structures are not permitted inside the Davis Event Center. All displays must remain open-top and comply with height restrictions.

Do I need insurance to exhibit?

All exhibitors must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming the Asheville Home Builders Association as the certificate holder prior to the event.

Can I sell products or services at the Expo?

Yes, with approval. All sales, raffles, giveaways, and promotions must take place within your booth and be approved in advance.

Are there sound or demonstration limits?

Sound-emitting equipment is permitted provided it does not disrupt neighboring booths. Expo Management reserves the right to require volume reduction or removal if necessary.

Are marketing and sponsorship opportunities available beyond my booth?

The Expo is supported by a comprehensive, locally driven marketing effort focused on Western North Carolina homeowners.
